Safeguarding, SEND & Pastoral

Safeguarding

At Haymoor Junior School, safeguarding is of the utmost importance.  The school aims to help protect the children in its care by working consistently and appropriately with all agencies to reduce risk and promote the welfare of children.

If you have any concerns regarding the safety of a child, please contact our Designated Safeguarding Lead, Mrs Williamson, or our Deputy Safeguarding Lead, Mrs Killahena.

Special Educational Needs & Disabilities (SEND)

We pride ourselves on providing inclusive schools with a range of expertise in supporting a wide variety of needs. We are committed to valuing all children equally and believing that all children are entitled to a relevant curriculum that is differentiated to meet their individual needs. We aim to identify children experiencing difficulties as early as possible and ensure that appropriate educational provision is made for them. We work very closely with a wide range of outside agencies and in close partnership with parents to support any child who may need additional support. Children with SEND are included in all aspects of the school curriculum, with their peer group.
